SYSTEMS CAM SYSTEM: Computer aided manufacturing software developed by Shop Data Systems of Garland, Texas is utilized in the fabrication of duct fittings. Fitting data such as type, pressure class and dimensions are entered into the computer which automatically develops the fitting patterns, nests the fittings to eliminate waste, and down loads the information to a Fanuc Controller which drives the plasma cutter. The system eliminates the need for manual layout of the fittings resulting in lower and more consistent production costs. CAD SYSTEM:
Our firm utilizes a CAD system specifically designed for the sheet metal
industry by QuickPen International of Denver, Colorado. The system allows
us to provide interference drawings for duct systems showing plan, elevation,
and 3D views. Drawings detail the ductwork size and location and can be
printed in colour to highlight the various systems. |
